Master’s Thesis or Semester Project in the Neural Dynamics lab: language in the brain, from neuronal recordings to theory

alternate text
We are looking for motivated students to join the Neural Dynamics Lab for a master’s thesis or semester project.

Our research focuses on the dynamical organization of human brain activity, mainly in the context of language and epilepsy. We offer a number of projects, from the analysis of neuronal activity and local field potentials in humans and non-human primates using intracranial recordings, the development of theoretical methods to uncover the dynamical principles of language and cognition, to machine learning methods for clinical applications in speech decoding and seizure forecasting.

Requirements vary by project. Good written and verbal English is expected. For all projects, proficiency in Python is essential, as well as a foundation in linear algebra. A background in neuroscience, engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field is a plus. Curiosity and motivation are what matter most.
