Postdoc: Real-time Visual Hearing Models and Hardware Acceleration
We have an open position in the Sensors Group (
https://sensors.ini.ch/home.html) for an exciting new European Union project which will implement novel Virtual World-enabled hearing-assistive technology for smart glasses, designed to generate socially intelligent reconstructions of the user’s acoustic environment. The person will implement real-time algorithms for source separation, A-V speaker tracking and sound field reconstruction on hardware platforms.
Requirements
The candidate should have strong knowledge of signal processing and deep networks; and is comfortable with hardware, deep learning tools and has prior experience in porting algorithms to an embedded hardware platform. The postdoctoral candidate should have performed their thesis work on a deep learning topic preferably on audio.
Positions are for 1 year with possible extension for a 2nd year. Salary is according to the guidelines of the Swiss National Science Foundation. Postdoctoral applicants should have a doctoral degree in an engineering /computer science-related discipline.
