Neuroinformatics as Minor (Nebenfach) before fall semester 2016
Neuroinformatics as a minor subject offers students a choice of selected lectures (L) and exercises (E) from the Institute of Neuroinformatics and of related lectures, exercises and semester works from other institutes and faculties. There are two lists. List A contains modules offered by the Institute of Neuroinformatics (Wahlpflichtmodule) and List B contains modules offered by other faculties and institutes (Wahlmodule). Students must select a set of modules from each list, where List B is to be considered incomplete -- other modules can be selected after consultation with the studies coordinator (minor
ini.ethz.ch).
Due to the studies’ reorganization in the MNF, the minor in Neuroinformatics will undergo important changes from the academic year 2016-2017 onwards. Please consult the new regulations as soon as they are available online. Students currently doing either a small or a big minor in Neuroinformatics can continue without changes but those who will not be finished by 2017 should contact the MNF Dean’s office.
Currently Neuroinformatics is offered as a minor subject in the following faculties, each with their specific requirements:

- Bachelor level as a small minor (20 ECTS)

- 8 ECTS from lists A and B
- Bachelor level as a big minor (45 ECTS)
- 25 ECTS from list A

- 12 ECTS from list A
- 8 ECTS from lists A and B
Faculty of Arts (Philosophical Faculty)
- Bachelor level as a small minor (30 ECTS)
- 12 ECTS from list A
- 18 ECTS from lists A and B
- Bachelor level as a big minor (60 ECTS)
- 25 ECTS from list A
- 26 ECTS from lists A and B
- 9 ECTS from semester work
- Master level as an extension to a minor at the Bachelor level (15 ECTS)
- 10 ECTS from list A
- 5 ECTS from lists A and B
Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and Information Technology
- Bachelor level as a small minor (45 ECTS)
- 25 ECTS from list A
- 20 ECTS from lists A and B
- From the 45 ECTS, 15 ECTS will already be obtained during the assessment year with three basic lectures (See Reglement at www.ifi.uzh.ch/bsc)
