Involuntary-voluntary interactions in action control and perception

Involuntary-voluntary interactions in action control and perception

Our actions consist of both involuntary and voluntary movements. How do these distinct types of movement interact to generate consious perception? In action control, how do they influence each other? To address these questions we use human physiology, perceptual measures and artifical systems. This project is not only a key step towards decoding how the brain feels and controls our actions but it may also generate the blue prints for the next generation of agile robots.
