Telluride Neuromorphic Cognition Engineering Workshop - Telluride Colorado USA 2014 (Jun 29 - Jul 19)

The Telluride Neuromorphic Cognition Engineering Workshop has been co-organized by members of the institute for 20 years. This year sees the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the workshop. The goals of this workshop come from its roots in neuromorphic engineering and neuroscience; and now extend towards neuromorphic cognition.

It takes place in the local elementary schoolhouse in Telluride, a previous mining town in Colorado.
The morning sessions are given by experts in one of the topic areas supported by the workshop and the remaining time by hands-on projects organized by the topic area leaders. Topics this year include acoustic priming in human cognition, motion and action processing on wearable devices, planning with dynamic neural fields, neuromorphic olympics and real-time neuromorphic real-world architectures of perception, cognition and action. The 2nd week focuses on talks from a small set of well-known neuroscientists. The 3rd week covers the completion of projects ready for presentations at the end of the workshop.

This workshop is complementary to the sister workshop, the CapoCaccia Cognitive Neuromorphic Engineering Workshop in April. Both series of workshops are organized in unison to promote the growth of the Neuromorphic Engineering field.
