Electrophysiology in songbirds

My interest is to explore correlations between single neuron activity and behavior. My goal is to advance our understanding of neural processing of auditory feedback in singing birds (how birds listen to their own songs). I
record from behaving (singing) animals with chronically implanted glass electrodes. After recording, I try to stain the recorded neurons and perform histology to learn about their morphology their and synaptic embedding in neural circuits.
