I studied Computer Science at ETH, however, after taking elective courses like "Introduction to Neuroinformatics" and "Computer simulations of sensory Systems" my curiosity was sparked in a different field. I wanted to know more about the brain, how it functions or how we could possibly extend/repair it (e.g. artificial retinas). I started to realise how little we actually know, and how much there still is to discover.
I was looking for a bachelor's project into that direction and I was lucky that Wolfger von der Behrens' group, more precisely Newsha Ghasemi had something for me.

During the project i got to know INI and liked it a lot and started my masters degree here in Neural Systems and Computation.
