I have joined INI in January 2017 and I am currently a PostDoc in Neuromorphic Cognitive Systems group. I graduated in biomedical engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy and I obtained my PhD degree in Bioinspired Robotics from Institute of BioRobotics, School of Advanced Studies Pisa, Italy. During my studies I was working on understanding how to build artificial living technologies with similar skills and computational capabilities as animals. Here, at INI, I am interested in the design, simulation and validation of sub-threshold VLSI circuits for biomedical applications, in particular, a biologically accurate model of respiratory CPG and ECG and sEMG signals processing and classification.
