I am interested in flexible learning and behavior in animals as well as artificial systems. In my PhD project I train mice to perform tasks with dynamic stimulus response mappings, while recording neural activity in the prefrontal cortex. To understand the relationship between neural signals and behavior, I develop analysis approaches for interpreting high-dimensional activity recordings. In addition to my experimental work, I study related topics in machine learning, such as continual learning in recurrent neural networks.
