My research interests are in deep learning for natural language processing, in particular text simplification and automatic summarization. My current focus is on applications to the scientific literature, with the goal of simplifying the process of literature discovery and reading.
Previously, I did my MSc in Neural Systems and Computation, also at INI. For my MSc thesis, I worked on automatic summarization of scientific articles with recurrent neural networks. Prior to that, I obtained a BEng in Computer Science from the University of York, UK. I also did a 1-year internship in the Pharmaceutical industry, where I worked in software engineering and big data analytics.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the drums, cooking, going to concerts and hiking.
