I did my undergraduation in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in India with a focus on Signal processing and Control Systems. I followed that up with a MSc in Neural Systems and Computation from ETH Zurich & University of Zurich in 2015.

My doctoral research predominantly focuses on understanding the nature of neural population dynamics during decision making and its link to trial by trial variability in neural responses. To answer this question, I am currently involved in developing novel machine learning tools inspired from the field of control theory to infer dynamical systems from large-scale, population wide neural recordings.
