I received my Master’s degree in biology from the Ecole Normale Supérieur of Lyon in 2009. In 2013 I obtained my PhD in Neurobiology working at the Stem Cell and Brain Research institute in Lyon. I am interested in how the cerebral cortex develops during embryogenesis and more specifically what are the differences that appeared during evolution and enabled the higher cognitive abilities in the primate lineage. I discovered a higher diversity and higher proliferative abilities of precursor types in the macaque developing cortex. I realized the importance of systems biology approaches and interdiciplinarity in modern biology research and decided to transition towards modeling approaches to understand biological processes as a whole. I am currently performing a postdoctoral training at INI exploring primate cortical precursor lineages that lead to the generation of the diversity of neuronal types from a computational point of view.
