I joined the Neuromorphic Cognitive Systems group, at the Institute of Neuroinformatics (INI), University of Zurich and ETH Zurich as a doctoral student in 2009. Prior to moving to Zurich, I obtained my Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and University of Tehran in Iran, respectively, where I was engaged in research on auditory streaming models. My current research interests include neural models for auditory processing, speech recognition, spike- or event-based signal processing. At INI, I have been working on a project for developing a hybrid software/hardware event-based biologically-inspired system for real-time auditory scene analysis.
