I'm interested in neurally inspired information processing.

For my dissertation I developed several algorithms for massively parallel, event-based, electronic hardware. A hallmark of algorithms well suited to this computing style seems to be their decomposition into nearly independent sub-parts that exchange only sparse information with each other. Applications include artificial neural network algorithms and CSP solvers.
