I received a Bachelor's degree in Automation and Robotics in 2011 and a Master's degree in Advanced Applied Electronics in 2012, both from Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland. During my studies I participated one year exchange at the Technical University of Munich, faculty of Electrical Engineering. During the second semester of my exchange as I was full-time employed by the company Dr Schenk, Hardware Development Department, I wrote Master thesis in the area AHDL programming, design of
a PCB with the Altera chip (FPGA). Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Neuroinformatics within the Faculty of Science at the University of Zurich as a member of the Neuromorphic Cognitive Systems group at the Institute of Neuroinformatics.

Within the scope of my project I investigate mechanisms that are used to derive information about external environment upon combination of prior knowledge and probability distributions of multiple sensory inputs. A prevalent form of learning in the neural substrate is based on changing synaptic weights. Therefore, my focus is development of practical hardware implementation aiming to store analog values of signals on long time scales.
The chosen medium are neuromorphic circuits capable of performing biologically plausible spike-based neural computation within probabilistic inference framework.
Target application of developed system is sensory fusion on autonomous robotic platform.
