I graduated from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) with a BSc. in biology in 2013, during which I also attended the HHMI Janelia Summer School in 2012 in VA USA, where I worked on a segmentation tool for dense annotation of large serial-section electron microscopy datasets. I graduated in INI’s master’s program (MSc ETHZ UZH) in 2016 with a master thesis (Supervised by prof. Shih-Chii Liu and in collaboration with prof. Yoshua Bengio) on quantized neural networks, which I worked on both at INI and at MILA of UdeM Montreal, Canada.
In my PhD I research biologically inspired continual learning methods for sequential machine learning models.
