Dr. J.P. Pfister has been awarded a Swiss National Fonds (SNF) Professorship and will join INI in the Fall of 2014. Dr. Pfister's work focuses on learning and memory. Trained as a physicist, he is interested in developing analytical models of synaptic plasticity with a stronger focus on a specific form of plasticity : Spike-Timing Dependent Plasticity (STDP).
